In what is now Upper Deer Valley the military stumbled upon a vein of Silver. Winter was coming so they tied a bandana on a stick and stuck it in the ground. This area is now Bandana Run off Ruby Mtn in Upper Deer Valley. Thousands of skiers thrill with the fun of this great run ever year. In the spring, the military returned and that started the great silver rush of Park City and put Park City on the map. Thousands of non Mormons flooded into the area, seeking their fortune in our beautiful mountains. So, thank you Abraham Lincoln. Your grand plan worked and thanks to you, everyone loves Park City, Utah.
