Yes, the snow in Park City is the greatest snow on earth. But the access to fun, in and around Park City is not limited by our snow. The snow gives you access to the back country and the open slopes. The summer gives you access to the entire Wasatch and Uinta Mountain range.
Park City actually is in the Wasatch Mountains but just a few miles away is the Uinta Mountains. Sister rangers closer than blood ties. Both beautiful beyond compare and accessible with a short 15 minute drive.
In both we have numerous lakes, streams, rivers, caves, trails, canyons and mountain tops. Which gives way to Mountain biking, fly fishing, boating, sailing, horseback riding, hiking, water sports, golfing and almost any other outdoor summer activity you can think of. Many have a minimal cost and many are free.

The Food and Wine Festival starts in Park City this Wednesday, July 8 through Sunday, July 12th. This is one of Park City's most favorite traditions and will benefit The People's Health Clinic. What a great way to create memories while supporting our local community. The People's Health Clinic helps so many that do not have insurance. As a local that has benefitted from their service to our community, I applaud their daily sacrifices.

July 4th is such a great time. This year the Canyons will not have their annual fireworks display and have joined forces with Park City Mountain Resort for a fireworks extravaganza. Fireworks will start at dusk and should be epic. Parking is really tough in Park City. Sometimes it is better to park outside of town and get a taxi to Park City. Otherwise you may find you are walking a very long distance in the heat, carrying blankets, chairs and babies.
FASTAXI can help get you to and from the festivities. Our Park City taxi's are usually about 10-15 minutes out. Call us if you need transportation. Also, remember...NEVER drink and drive in Park City. Our police are very active and you will get pulled over and arrested. Don't ruin your 4th by being stupid. The cost of our taxi's is nothing compared to the cost of a DUI. Here's our number 435-783-8294
It was May 1872 when George and Rhonda Snyder and their three daughters arrived in Park City for the first time. When they broke through the forest by what is now the back parking lot of the Double Tree Hotel and Kearns Blvd, he exclaimed, "it looks like a park," thus the name Park City. There is a monument to mark the spot.
History tells us that George had six wives but his favorite was Rhonda who became known and loved by the locals as Aunt Rhonda. As July 4th approached, she gathered an old bed sheet, a blue silk handkerchief and a red flannel baby blanket and stitched the American Flag. Together the few Pioneers that arrived in Park City celebrated our nations Independence in Park City, Utah.
Now thousands flood to Park City to celebrate our nation's birthday. Few realize the great history of our little town so loved by the world.
